Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 juin 2026
This policy explains how GuideObseques.ch processes your personal data, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Our guiding principle: collect the bare minimum, and share nothing without your consent.
Data controller
The data controller is the site publisher, whose contact details appear in the legal notice. For any question about your data, you can write to contact@guideobseques.ch.
Data collected
We only collect the data you voluntarily provide:
- Your first name and a single means of contact (email or phone).
- Your answers to the questionnaire (municipality, type of service, time frame, intentions).
- The timestamp of your consent.
We never ask for your full address, your financial situation, or any banking details.
Purposes and legal basis
Your data is used solely to process your request and, if you consent, to put you in touch with a funeral professional. The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent, given when you submit the form and revocable at any time.
Recipients
With your consent, your request is passed on to a trusted funeral professional near you, so that they can contact you. Apart from this referral, the information you provide is neither sold nor shared with any other third party.
Retention period
Your request data is deleted or anonymised at the latest 12 months after its creation. The principle of minimisation and limited retention is applied automatically.
Security and hosting
Your data is hosted in Switzerland, with Infomaniak, and protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit via HTTPS, restricted access, logging of sensitive access). To operate, the site relies on a few specialised technical providers: Infomaniak (hosting and email delivery), Cloudflare (form anti-spam protection, via the Turnstile service) and Umami (audience measurement). Some of these providers may process limited technical data (such as an IP address) outside Switzerland; such processing is then governed by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or a recognised data protection framework.
Audience measurement
We use a cookie-free audience measurement tool (Umami): no personal data is stored and IP addresses are not retained. This is why this site does not display a cookie consent banner. We respect your browser's “Do Not Track” signal.
Your rights
In accordance with the FADP, you have the following rights at any time:
- Access your data and obtain a copy.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Request its deletion and withdraw your consent.
- Object to the processing of your data.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@guideobseques.ch. We respond as soon as possible and at the latest within the legal time limit.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with Swiss law, you can lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in Bern.
